any ideas for my problem? when i switch on my pc first thing it runs great,
but by the end of the day it is as slow as a snail !
i am not technical minded but any ideas on what could be causing this?

You'll need to periodically clean it. Try these for starters.
Start>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools>Disk cleanup
Also:
Open IE (Internet Explorer)>Tools>Internet Options>Delete Cookies
and Delete files including offline content.
In addition, you are probably loading to many apps at startup. Go here:
Start>Run>type MSCONFIG and click OK>Startup tab
now uncheck/disable everything except your anti-virus app
Click Apply and Close and reboot. Are you running a malware/spyware
app, try this one it is the best and free:
Ad-Aware SE Personal Edition - Download Free version and Run It!

what are your system specifications? Have you got an antivirus an
firewall? what about protection against spyware? run updated scans wit
Adaware and Spybot. Check if ur running on low memory, try adding more
Next clean up the system using disk cleanup and then run chkdsk. Hav
you analyzed your fragmentation levels? If its badly fragmented, it ad
to the sluggishness, run the disk defragmenter. Also check your startu
list and disable unwanted items from loading at boot. Here are som

thanks for replys. my system specs are 2.8 processor,512 ram, i have macafee
antivirus and firewall. also have adware and spybot i have done system
check-up and defrag. after these answers to my posts i have done run,
msconfig and disaled all from start as mentioned. still seems the same could
it be a fault within the pc?

Disable only -unnecessary items- from loading at startup, not ALL. Your
firewall and antivirus etc shud be kept checked in the list, if you are
unsure of which items to retain, check them up on this list, or google
for info.
