Computer identity?

We loaned the laptop computer out to a young man, now everytime we create
anything in microsoft word, his name appears as the owner. Also, we have a
file that has his name on it and it will not let us delete it! It appears
that he has taken over our laptop. How do I get rid of this problem and
return ownership back to us. We are running windows XP?

Hi

Try this:

Open Word and go to Tools>Options>User Information. See if you can change
the name there. Try deleting the file from a command prompt.

If you still see his name after that go to START/RUN then type regedit in
the box. At the next scren i think its FILE/FIND. Type in the chaps name
as it appears to you and hit F3 and see if it finds his name. If it does
you can delete it from there.
