Computer hangs on startup with ADSL connection

Ok here's the problem.
I have an ADSL Modem from Comtrend and when I reboot my
machine and try to connect to the internet via my ADSL
connection, the system hangs for about 30 to 45 seconds
before the connection pops up and that i am able to
connect.
When i finally can connect to internet, i have no
problems at all. But if I reboot, the same problem
happens again.
I'm using Windows XP Pro.
Would somebody have a solution to this weird problem.

Any suggestions???

It may be just the modem starting up and little to worry about.
