Computer hangs msg: Setup is inspecting your computer's hardware configuration

When installing Win2000 the computer hangs showing the
following message: Setup is inspecting your computer's
hardware configuration...

I am installing in a Sony VAIO PCG-f540 with CD, floppy
and hard disk.

Help please.

I have the same problem about hangin at "setup insinspecting.....".
