Morning all,

My new-ish PC, which has been working OK since being built a couple of months ago, failed to boot last night. Initial headscratching didn't reveal anything obviously wrong, so I put in the Windows setup CD in case something had got corrupted. Setup gets as far as the "Setup is inspecting your computer's hardware configuration..." and then it hangs, and the monitor goes blank.

I've not added any new hardware or software since the last successful startup. Any ideas? I suspect it might be a hardware failure - HDD?.

Thanks,

Chris
