Hi , i got a new system.. only one hard disk.. installed Fedora 8 on
it..
Then i got my WinXP boot CD {after all the BIOS settings} tried to
boot.. but it doesn´t run..

it hangs up at ¨setup is inspecting your computer¶ hardware
configuration¨

I dont want to delete my fedora partitions..

Can anyone suggest a solution?

if you are attempting to set up dual boot, then you should have done it the
other way round.
Install XP first on its own partition, and then install Fedora after on ITS
own partition...

Pl see what Gordon says. Even if you manage to install Win-XP

... after Fedora, it will destroy the GRUB or LILO for dual booting.
Therefore, it is simpler to install the Linux last. If, by any chance,
you are forced to reinstall Windows, you will be able to "repair" the
Linux volume for restoring LILO.
