Computer freezes ?

My computer seems to be freezing. It only occurs when on the Internet. The
cursor still moves freely around the screen, but nothing happens. Icons etc
that I click on do not react until the computer unfreezes. The fregquency is
about every 3 minutes, it freezes then restarts after a minute or so. I am
using BT Broadband.Help please !

Open Control Panel >Administrative Tools >Event Viewer >Application
Check here if you can find any error here.
Scan your system with latest virus definitioned antivirus/Spybot,search
and Destroy/CWShredder as well as with Adware.
Run all the latest versions in safe mode.

Have you already done basic maintenance like cleaning out your temp
internet cache files and such?
