Computer freezes

I have problems with my computer locking up. I have Windows XP. When I leave
my computer on, it goes to the screen saver then it freezes. Or when I'm
working on my computer, it freezes and Ctrl Atl del don't work and I have to
reboot. Anyone knows what causes computer freezing and what I can do about it?

Lockups can be caused by a lot of different things - software or
hardware. Unfortunately, you told us nothing about your computer or its
recent history so any answers you might get would just be guesses.

Try disabling you screen saver and leave you computer on. Then see if it
freezes or crashes.

Open Disk Defragmenter and click on Analyse. Select View Report and
click on Save As and Save. Now find VolumeC.txt in your My Documents
Folder and post a copy.

How much RAM memory? How large is your drive and how much free space?

Try Ctrl+Alt+Delete to select Task Manager and click the Performance
Tab. Under Commit Charge what is the Total, the Limit and the Peak?

Hope this helps.
