Computer freezes

i just built a new computer and it freezes up every once
and awhile. Could Windows XP be causing it to freeze up
or something else?
 
Something else for sure. Can you swap RAM? is all the fans
in working order? Could it over heat? Is all your hardware
part of the HAL? Is it quality hardware? etc...
