computer freezes

Computer freezes for no apparent reason. new Video card, I added more ram to
a total of 512 RAM, the OS I am running is Win XP SP2.
it has a new monitor. there are no conflicts...anyone have any ideas?
 
When did the freeze start, with the Ram, SP2 or the new video card..? Or was
your upgrade all at once ...?

Thankfully, its not MY computer, so I am unsure when it started. It was
generaly fine untill they installed SP2. I updated Monitor, RAM, Video card
after the problem accurred. not all at once. Could it be SP2? if so, how
could I fix it. I'm no computer dummy. but, this is just gettin me a lil
ticked. any idea?
