When I insert my USB drive into my (XP Pro) computer, it doesn't
recognize it (ie., no drive icon in Explorer).

If I insert it into a coworker's computer, it works as expected.

Any idea why?

Any USB port at all? All of them?
Update your motherboard chipset drivers.

Automatic driver setup?

When the system complains that the drivers are not installed, it should
provide an option to install them - either from the Internet or from the
system resources. Have you tried that?

If this does not work, try using the option Install new hardware from the
Control Panel, then follow the instructions provided.
