I have installed Vista recently. My combo drive will read/run DVD's fine, I
can display the content in computer(explorer) when i insert a CD audio or
data drive does not display CD or run.
If i double click the D: drive when CD is in the drive, the DVD burner opens

Any solution for this issue? Thanks

The CVD and DVD use different read heads.
It is possible the CD head is dirty or damaged and the DVD head is working.
I would run a CD cleaner disk & see if it helps.

Stranger things have happened than a drive failing at the same time you do
an update.
But since Vista is on a DVD, you don't know for sure that the CD read head
was working...
I believe even WalMart has a CD/DVD RW for as little as $39.
