Computer crashes after installing Service Pack 3 or 4

I have 20 laptops on a laptop cart at our school. They all have
Windows 2000 with Service Pack 1. I need to upgrade them so I can
apply the patch for BlasterWorm virus. I have SP 3 on disk or I access
SP 4 from the Windows Update page. Both cause the computer to crash
when rebooting after the installation. Computer gets close to the login
screen and reboots. Sometimes goes to blue screen then reboots. Just
keeps rebooting.

Barbara,
Download the network version of SP4 to HDD and burn it on CD.
Good as store bought. You can install with out a problem.
Thee are hotpatches, however that cause conflicts.
What brand are the laptops. Some manufactures use proprieatary software, and
it does sometime have problems, becasue they did hteir software before teh
SP's came out.
