Hello everybody!
I just took the jump from w2k and started using XP. I have a small homework
with 3 XP Pro machines, and one running w2k server - computers A, B, C and D.
My problem is:
While the computer called "D" may see every other computer (ABC) in the
network, none of the others (ABC) can see "D". Odd enough I havent had any
similar problem with the other "XP-Installs" but this computer, for some
reason, cant be found. As far as I can see everything is in order - the nic,
network name etc etc. Anyone got any good ideas?
Then my second, probably much simpler, question. On w2k I could always click
"my network places", see my network name and then click to browse it. In XP
however, I get to see the network history but cant browse the whole network -
to do that, I have to rightlick "explore" and open a new explorer window.
Does anyone know how I could change this?
I thank you in advance,
Phil
