computer automatically starts up after completely shutting down.

Nuts580

Computer will stay shutdown anywhere from six hours to
eighteen hours. Has always come back on ever since
installing windows XP.
 
Is it possible you have 'wake on LAN' or 'wake on ring' selected in the
motherboard bios (if your system supports them). If so and you are
connected to a cable or DSL modem, LAN or phone line modem, this might
be the cause.
