Compile error in hidden module: distMon

Every time I open my excel I get "Compile error in hidden module :distMon"

The PDFMaker.xla and maybe PDFMaker.dot are stored in your Office\XLSTART folder
or in the Excel\XLSTART folder.

Any files in these folders will open with Excel.

You must remove them from the XLSTART folder.

It points at PDFMaker.xla as being the culprit.

If you move/delete that addin, you should be ok.

Dave and Gord- Well I did a Search on PDFMaker* and found all the files and
deleted them- But I am still getting the error..
I am puzzled with this thing.

Any ideas?

Aha Aha- I went back and searched (selecting hidden files and system files)
and the dirty little buggers showed up- deleted them and it worked.

Good to hear.

That "hide known file extensions" is often the culprit when files cannot be
found.
