Compatiblity of Microsoft's Antispyware with others

I have Spyware Blaster installed on my computer which
protects my computer real time for any
spyware/adaware/dialers etc. I also have installed
Ad-aware, Spyware Doctor (free versions) on my computer.

Will Microsoft's Antispyware be compatible with these
softwares or will I be required to remove them prior to
installing Antispyware.

Yes it is compatible, not conflicts have been reported so far, I think Bill
Sanderson has been making recommendations about it also, not sure.

I had NAV 2005, NPF, Spybot S&D 1.3 with Tea Timer and Ad-Aware SE Plus with
Ad-Watch resident when I added MSAS and no conflict have been observed. Am
running XP Home on a 2.8GHz Dell with 1GB RAM.

Hi Raman,
You shouldn't face any problems. With all those programs, I assume you've
got a good AV product in the mix also?

Thanks Ron. I really appreciate your reply.

So, what do u recommend me... install Microsoft's
Antispyware along with Spyware Blaster/Ad-aware or not? I
haven't used Microsoft's Antispyware, and am not sure about
its effectiveness to provide me real time protection
vis-a-vis the spyware blaster.

Any help on this will be highly appreciated.

Thanks

Thanks for your reply. I'll sure do give it a shot and see
what happens. Btw, does this piece of software come with an
expiry date? I read it on Microsoft's site that this is
free for all the genuine windows users. Is this true?

""At the RSA conference, Bill Gates announced the consumer
and enterprise strategy for Microsoft Windows AntiSpyware.
"The personal version of the final Windows AntiSpyware
software (will be) available at no additional charge to
licensed Windows customers as part of the Windows value
proposition. The offering will offer full functionality to
consumers, including the ability to detect and remove
spyware, continual protection that helps guard against more
than 50 ways that Web sites and programs can put spyware on
a PC, and protection against the latest threats through the
combined efforts of the SpyNetT community and Microsoft
researchers. For business customers, with more complex
infrastructure support, management and deployment needs,
Microsoft plans a managed anti-spyware solution that will be
available as part of a paid solution."

Thanks Plun. That was a good information. I could see an
expiry date in the antispyware. But now I guess that
expiry date is the one when Microsoft is going to release
their final version.

Hi

All Beta versions expires, just a precation that a user install
a final version. Next step is Beta 2 for MSAS which is
coming soon I believe.
