compatibility question

Is there a program (perhaps built into windows XP) that checks if software
will run correctly on XP? I know there is a compatibility wizard which just
lets you select which programs to run in compatibility mode. I am lookiing
for a utility to tell me if the programs will work with xp.

Windows XP check for implicitly the hardware
compatibility Alert ,in other way it maintain Hardware
Compatibility List (HCL) inside OS.you can found more
