comparitive scans with Ad-Aware

Although I haven't had system problems with this beta
version, I do find 'severe threats' when I scan with Ad-
Aware (13 just now) that are not detected with the
Microsoft version. Is this a 'false alarm' from Ad-Aware
or does the beta version just avoid this scan??

Spybot Search & Destroy hasn't found any more than the
Microsoft version.

Hi Dave,
In the Beta1 version, the program doesn't go into the cookie jar, nor does
it chase data miner objects.
This is probably the source of the inconsistencies.

It would help if you told us what 13 things were detected.

Yes, it would help to know what the 13 infamous things
are. Also, you could search Google for each item to
learn of it's nature.
