Compaq with Logitech Mouse

Is there a certain driver that I need in order for my
logitech optical mouse and touchpad to work at the same
time? Have a Compaq EVO N1020V

NO! The laptap may have a BIOS setting which would tell the system to
ignore the built-in touchpad if a PS/2 mouse is connected. This is true for
most laptops with touchpads, trackballs and trackpoints.

However, if you connect a USB mouse, both should work.
