Compaq laptop with Windows XP infrared communication problem.

Hello, everyone ...
I have Compaq laptop with Windows XP Home Edition and
infrared transceiver. Trying to establish an infrared
connection between laptop and cell phone with IR feature
(Nokia 6560).
Nokia connection manager is installed from Internet, but
every time I follow instructions and try to establish
connection nothing happens (Manager gives message "No
phone connected").
Infrared devices aren't listed in Device Manager, so I
added one manually... It doesn't work! Help, please!!!
