company info not appearing in tasks

In Outlook 2003, when I create a task and fill out the "contact" info in that
task by choosing a contact from my "Contacts" list, the contact's company
info never appears in the "Company" field of the task. Everything else
pertaining to the task (subject, contact, due date, importance, etc.) is
there, except the company name. Is there a way to insure that it is visible?

This is normal behavior. Outlook doesn't automatically fill in that field. (You could have contacts linked from multiple companies. Which would it use?)
