Compacting PST Files

Geno

I am running microsoft outlook 2002 and trying to compact
my pst files. I have followed the instructions provided
in MKB 289987 but have not been successful. Can you
advise as to why the compression option is not working?

As stated in the MSKB article you mentioned, the file must have at least 16K
of free space before it will compact. It's possible your .PST file does not
meet that criteria.
