Compactability Powerpoint 2003

I created a ppt in my system and copied the same to laptop. But it displayed
an error msg stating "cannot read the ppt file".

what could be the reason? Frequently i face this problem.

NOTE: My system and laptop both has WinXP Professional OS and Office 2003.
I tried reinstalling Office 2003 in both. Please help.

You can try to save a lower verion in your system then copy it to laptop.

Hi Shankar,

I guess first, make sure you copy it and open it from the hard drive and not
open it form a thumb drive. Else, are there different language settings?
Have you got the latest updates on both computers? Help| Check for updates?
