Comments made page larger - how to shrink back?

I opened a document in Word XP without being aware that Track Changes was
turned on. I made a change and got a balloon on the right side - as well as
a document an inch wider than it originally was! Fortunately, the change
seems to apply only to that section, and the section involved was only the
front page so the rest of the doc is okay. How do I make it shrink back to
a "regular" U.S. letter-size portrait page? (Yes, Track Changes is now
turned off! Also, I called the Reviewing toolbar and deleted all comments
and changes.)

It doesn't really make the page larger, just the text smaller, as you'll
find it you print it or view it in Print Preview. If you've turned off Track
Changes and deleted comments, now you need to Accept All Changes.

Thank you, Suzanne. Accept All Changes "shrunk" my page!

I wondered about that. Printed out, the text was scrunched proportionately
to accommodate the comments. On the screen, though, a text box drawn from
edge to edge of the displayed page was over 9 1/2 inches wide. I was afraid
to Save, wondering if I'd be stuck with an oversize page!
