Does anyone know how to get to the command prompt before
windows xp loads?
 
Moe, tap F8 on Startup and from the Menu select Safe Mode with Command
Prompt.
 
If you're talking about getting the command prompt during Windows Setup,
it's Shift+F9 (or F10... I think it's F9).
