Command & Conquer Generals problem

Hello Everyone.

I had XP SP2. I installed Vista Ultimate as an upgrade install. Ever
since, when I try to play a skirmish, my base is demolished almost
immediately.

Anyone got a clue what's going on and how I can fix it?

Uninstall it, then reinstall it under Vista. Single player will work for
Vista, but it has a problem with the in-game Gamespy and will crash when
connecting to it.

Ok. Ran the "repair" option and now the game seems to work fine.

Actually, scratch the second part of my last post. Download the Generals
1.08 patch and the ZH 1.04 patch from EA
(http://www.ea.com/official/cc/generals/us/demos.jsp?state=6) and right click
on each separate patch and choose 'Run as Administrator' to update that way
which allows multiplayer mode to work again. The in game and patchgrabber
will mess up the updates.

If I want to install extra maps where do they go? What folder?
