comctl32.dll

I am constantly getting this error. It does not seem to matter what programs
I have running. I have done a Windows repair using the Windows XP
Professional disc that came with my laptop. I have also tried and Registry
repair with no luck. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

You are getting what error? What is the *exact* error message? How did
you try to "repair" the registry?

Since you have IE 6 for XP, you may have the wrong version of comctl32
installed in the path. If you rename that one, you should be able to run
'SFC /SCANNOW' to put in the right one.

Okay I understand how to rename the file. But, I am not sure where or how to
run the scannow command from.
