Comcast Newsgroups

Comcast support does not know exactly what is required for newsgroup
login.... after multiple calls and tenacity, I have the answer - It has to be
the primary account login EMAIL ADDRESS. I experienced the issues - asking
for my login info every time. It has to be the PRIMARY ACCOUNT EMAIL address
- whole address - not just user name - newsgroup addy is
newsgroups.comcast.net - if you have setup before, delete the ones you have
setup and close Windows Mail and recreate using these parameters...hope this
helps
- let me know if you need specific instructions to setup newsgroups :)

Thanks Judy, that might help someone?

That solution is well known here, but why are you posting from the web
interface if you have Comcast newsgroups set up, why not set up MS
newsgroups and get this and other support direct to your PC? The server is
msnews.microsoft.com but use a munged email address to avoid spam.
