combine ISO's?

I have 4 bootable ISO files that I want to combine into one ISO and burn
to DVD.

Is there a program out there that will combine ISO files?

The other way to do it would be extract the files and folders from the
ISO files and then convert them back into one ISO.

Any recommendations on software that will do this?

Thank you,

Marty

Hi M. An ISO file is a package, that has been prepared to make it easy to
burn. It comprises of all the elements needed to install and run that
`program`. It is very unlikely
that you could de-ISO four packages, combine them into one ISO, and get them
to work. HTH
best wishes..OJ

You can easily copy the files of all 4 ISOs into one DVD, but I doubt
you will be able to get all 4 to boot.

Check out Ultimate Boot CD (www.ultimatebootcd.com). I think they
managed to add another Linux ISO (INSERT) to the main ISO, but that's it.

It'll be tricky.

I actually looked at that program before but I think the free version
limits the ISO's to 300mb or so.

Are there any true freeware ISO extractors?

Thanks,

Marty

lol

yeah, magiciso and isobuster are hardly freeware, for both you'll pay
around US$30.00 while http://www.tugzip.com/ will do it for free.

Thanks for the tip "Italy Anonymous Remailer" :).

Well I actually sort of disagree in the case of IsoBuster.
I can remember when IsoBuster was only freeware, then they added extra
functions (namely the ability to recover data from packet written CDs) and
started charging if you wanted these extra functions. But the free part of
the program still has the same functions as it always did.
IsoBuster is a good program that I don't mind recommending here. :)

Try TugZip http://www.tugzip.com/

Supports BIN, C2D, IMG, ISO and NRG disc-images.

Nice. But to save you a CDR:
You can use TugZip to extract an image of a (bootable) CD to a
subdirectory. (Which, by itself is nice.)

But if you add some files and burn a CD from this subdirectory,
you get a non-bootable CD.

(Just to let you know how I wasted 20 minutes and a CDR :-)

I take that back, ISObuster is free.

I was thinking of WinISO.

Hi,

Nah, that's not the release date. It's the date I added the entry so
that I can sort it via reverse chronological order. But you are not the
first person who's confused about the date, so I think I will just
remove it. :-)

Regards.

Hello,

where do you have this information from? Free version lacks of
some UDF functions, but I'm not aware of this size limit.

ISOBuster is freeware, but if you pay to register/donate supposedly you
get more advanced functions. Not sure exactly what they are. A cursory
search of the site didn't say exactly what extras you'd get.
