I have a Lexmark color laser printer. I have a custom color profile
for it. I have all color management in the printer driver turned off.
I have the color profile loaded in the driver.
When I print using the Windows XP Picture and Fax viewer, all colors
print perfectly. If I print that same image in IE or Word 2003 it
prints all faded exactly as if the color profile wasn't installed in
the driver setup.
This sucks because when I go to web sites that give driving directions
with color maps they print all faded. If I take those graphic images
to my desktop and then load them with the Windows Picture and Fax
viewer and print them from there they print fine.
So why can't printing from IE or Word 2003 print like the Windows
Picture and Fax viewer. I wish anything being printed would make use
of the color correction profile that I have associated with the printer
(in the printer driver).
If anyone has any tips on how I can fix this, I sure would appreciate
it.
Thank you,
