Color messages received in Inbox

I get message: "You cannot add another color rule because you have exceeded
the maximum number of rules for this folder" (through Tools/Organize using
colors). I can not find where it states a limitation for coloring messages,
and this puzzles me. In Outlook Express, you can color any amount of
messages; but this far superior program (Outlook 2003) apparently poses
limitations. When I deleted a few sources that were previously colored, the
above message still appeared. (?) Creating a rule does not allow for using
colors when receiving messages from a particular sender. So, what IS the
limit, and WHY is there a limit, and how can I get around this?

Are you connecting to Exchange Server? Exchange limits you to 32kb worth of
server-side rules and 32kb worth of client-side rules per mailbox.
