Outlook Organizing with Colors

I use Outlook to organize my inbox with colors. Of the (16) colors listed,
only about (8) of them are usable. It doesn't make any sense to have messages
in your inbox 'Lime', 'Fuschia', 'Yellow', 'White', or even 'Gray'.

This is a nice way to be able to see messages from a specific individual
immediately, but it is limited by the colors.

Is there a way to add more color options? Or even customize the colors?

This has bothered me since I started using outlook's organize feature, which
has been for quite a few years now.

Sadly, you cannot. Being colorblind (not fully) myself, I've expressed the
same wishes to the Outlook development team as well but don't expect any
change in Outlook 2010 for this. This same issues applies to OneNote where
you can color code your workbooks (which actually has an even worse color
palette to work with if you'd ask me).

Adding color categories into the mix might help you. Also, you can change
the font (for instance type and size) itself as well when you use Automatic
Formatting instead of the Organize option. For details see;
