COLLAPSING OPEN WINDOWS

N

NICOLE

Could someone help me? I just purchased a new HP compter
which is a Windows XP. Everything works great, but there
is something that I do not how to make it work. In the
past through my experiences with all sorts of computers,
everytime I had a Word document open or Explorer open and
I wanted to collapse one of them by clicking on the minus
sign, generally the window would collapse and go down to
the blue bar at the bottom of the screen. So, whenever
you are ready to go back and view that window you just
would hit the icon at the bottom of the screen and the
document would expand again. For some reason on my
computer, each time I collapse a window,it desapears, it
does not show at the bottom of my screen, therefore I
have to open it again and start all over again, this is
annoying if I just collapsed a Word doc that I was half
way done and can not retrieve it. HOW DO I FIX THIS?
Thank you so much for taking the time to help me.

It probably goes into one of the blue boxes in the toolbar. Notice that
Windows XP now allows putting more than one window/task name into the blue
boxes. The count appears to the left of the name.

"Basically, it involves uninstalling a WinSrvReg program and the Friend
Greetings program by using the Add/Remove Programs applet in Control Panel,
deleting a few more files, and reversing some Registry changes. The current
Norton antivirus definitions include detection of this worm." This is the
last paragraph of "PROGRAM BUTTONS ON TASKBAR MISSING", in this link:
