Codec Pack for XP home

After reformating and updating XP home sp3, on my Dell, I need to obtaine
Codec to get the video visable. I can play DVDs but everything else is just
sound. I see so many chocies on google, I'd like to keep it simple and
acurate. Thanks for any help.

Have you reinstalled the MB drivers?
Updated the video drivers? If so then the following may be of use.
Try WMP v10, it includes most codecs for Windows XP.
Another media player that works with Windows XP, VLC media player v 0.9.8a,

Codecs that work well with Windows XP, try K-Lite
http://www.free-codecs.com/download/K_lite_codec_pack.htm
