code 28 drivers not loaded

I just reloaded windows xp home. and now i have no sound.
and i have code 28 on other devices as well.
SM BUS CONTROLLER
MULTIMEDIA AUDIO CONTROLLER
UNIVERSAL SERIAL BUS
VIDIO CONTROLLER(VGA) CONTROLLER
USB IMAGING DEVICE
ALL OF THEM HAVE CODE 28
HOW DO I FIX THIS.
JUST LEARING COMPUTERS.THANKS FOR HELP.
STEP BY STEP PLEASE
