COD 2, Weird, Wore OUT

Okay, I got a new key for COD2 and FINALLY got it to install, but I found
that I kept getting the error:

Executable 'G:\Setup\rsrc\cod2.exe' had the following unrecoverable error:
Couldn't find library MSVCR80.dll (required by C:\Program Files\Common
Files\Microsoft Shared\OFFICE12\MSOXMLMF.DLL)
Please ensure that it is installed

This is what I was getting on my old Vista PC (this was a clean install on a
new PC). Funny thing is I can play single player, but NOT multiplayer.
After a long hang, I get a direct X error (unspecified, other than to direct
me to their site).

Any ideas??

Thanks!

Did you go online, use your favourite search engine, download and install
the .dll and then reinstall the game?

you know what? I did not. I was REALLY overthinking the problem, assuming
that there was an error in Office 2007 somewhere. Thanks for brining me back!

I, one time, a long time ago, was on hold for twenty minutes to HP before I
realized I had not plugged the printer into the computer...
