I don't remember the exact error number - I've gotten it
so many times I'm immune to it.

Currently, I'm running Windows ME. It started happening
off-again on-again when I shut my computer down. Then, my
speakers wouldn't work. I bought a new sound card,
updated the drivers and I'm still having problems getting
the 2 speakers to work with the woofer. It is a Monsoon
setup, so there is only 2 speakers with the 3rd (woofer).
I can only get the 2 speakers to work, or the woofer to
work. I've tried every possible combination inlet,
outlet, you name it, and I *think* I've tried it.

Now, I occasionally get the error after I've closed down
the net or a game.

Does anyone know if these issues are related? Thank you:)

Since you didn't tell us the exact error message (and I'm afraid I don't
know what your "CLT ALT Error" is supposed to mean), nobody can give
you a good answer! Also, this newsgroup is for the Windows XP operating
system, not ME, so you'd do better to post in a ME newsgroup. Post
there, but be sure to give a lot more details about the error message
and your system if you want to get an answer.
