closing down a program

please can someone tell me how to stop "Windows-no disk There is no disk in
the drive. Please insert a disk into the drive." message popping up when you
log on and off.I keep clicking on the cancel button about 4 times to get rid
of it but it keeps popping up every time i log on and off.
 
could be a hardware problem, they don't last very long, especially the older
models.

Why not insert any ol disk in it and shut it up.... Maybe you can simply
keep a blank formatted one in it all the time....
