Closing a single tab

How do I close a single tab? All I get is do you want to close all tabs &
generally I do Not. This is so frustrating. I have looked for answers in help
but to no avail. Can anyone tell me please?

Each tab has a red X for closing. Select the tab and click the X.

What tab? Where is this tab? In EI7 for example?

Hello,

IE7 requires at least one tab to be open if you are surfing in Tabs mode.

However, if you do not want any tabs, you can disable them in Start >
Control Panel > Internet Options > Settings (under Tabs) > UNCHECK Enable
Tabbed Browsing > OK > OK
