I've got a Dell 8200 that I want to clone the existing HD to a new one.
Will I have problems with that & if so, what's my best way to avoid them?

Use a good cloning software and you should not have an issue.
If you follow the directions it should work.

Mike,

You didn't say what brand/brands the old/new hard drives are. I've used
the software that Western Digital, Seagate and Fuju provided with their new
drives several times and it's always worked fine. They may provide it on a
setup disc or you may have to download it from ther website. Check the
instructions that came with the new drive. Check the website of the
manufacturers too. If any have software you can use, I think that's the
easiest way. I've also used Norton Ghost software and that's also done the
job .

Just follow the instructions carefully and it shouldn't be much of a
problem.
