Clone dynamic volumes?

Hello NG :-)

i have a WIN XP Prof. System whit dynamic volumes.
Now i need a Tool to Clone the BootPartition for Backup/Restore in desaster.

Acronis/DriveImage/NortenGhost are not be able to Clone dynamic volumes on
XP Prof.!?

Any Idea?

I do not know of a third party program that will do anything with
Dynamic volumes when they are the Boot one. BootitNG will handle
dynamic disks on drives other than that HD0.
 
Ghost (Pre 9.0) will image a Dynamic Volume, however it will be stored
or recovered as a traditional non-dynamic and must be converted with
the Disk Management tool after recovery. I did some consulting for a
local company that needed cloning/imaging of Dynamic drives and it can
be done, but not easily - especially if you're dealing with RAID and any
type of stripped array.
 
mirror the drive then break the mirror read up on how to restore from a
broken mirror but it is not difficult
