clock on xp not keeping correct time

my clock on xp keeps resetting to same hour no matter what
i do. have tried several different system restore points
but doesnt help. Any one have any ideas.

Doing a Restore does NOT affect the PC clock one Iota.
Your clock is a complete separate entity in your system
that runs on a separate battery. That's why it keeps
time even with the power shut off. Your system is
probably set at the incorrect time zone and draws the
time from your clock setting. If you are in the Eastern
Time Zone you must set it to that. Do the following:
Click Start/ControlPanel/Date,time, language,etc../Date
and Time/Time Zone tab/click the down arrow for your time
zone and click Apply and OK. At the date and time
Properties you can also reset the correct time.
