Slow Windows Clock

I need help ideas. My toolbar clock is consistently
running slow. It tends to lose about 1 hour every 3 hours
or so. The system clock in my BIOS setup has the correct
time. I have stopped and re-started the time service, I
have updated my BIOS, and re-synchronized the time several
times. All to no avail. Any suggestions?
Thanks!

Hello,

The reason why your clock is running slow is because
the CMOS battery is about to die. Go to you local
computer store and get the battery replaced.

Ridiculous. The battery is not used when powered on. Also he stated the system
clock in BIOS has the correct time. The problem is that something is blocking
the timer interrupts. Shut down background programs especially virus scanning
programs till the clock keeps time and you will have found the problem.

On top of this you can also down load a program that will sync time when you
log on to the internet. If your always on the net it will work right when
you boot up.
