losing time on windows clock

whenever i leave my computer on for extended periods the
clock in my tray slows or "loses time". i left it on for
an eight hour period and at 10:30 pm the clock show 7:50
pm. when i reboot the correct time is displayed. i
thougth it was the cmos battery but the computer is less
than 3 months old. any suggestions?

There is still always the chance you have a bad battery; you should check
with your PC manufacturer for help.
