clients unable to connect to small business 2003 server

Hi,

We are running Small Business 2003 server with 5 clients connecting to the
server. All has been running ok for the last four months, today we have
encountered a problem whereby non of the client machines (running XP Pro) are
able to connect to the server. Nothing has changed in the setup of our
network, the clients simply cannot connect to the server and teh server is
unable to see the clients.

We have done the usual, ie. checked the hub, cables, network card all are
ok....can anyone suggest anything else that might be causing the problem and
how to resolve?

Thanks

I see u started w/ some of the layer 1 basics, which sounds good. To
continue this, what happens when you attempt to ping the server from one of
the clients, first by IP address, then by name? Do you get successfulls or
timeouts? Also, check the Windows event logs on both the server and the
clients. I would assume there are some hints in this. Post the information
back and we'll see if we can get this resolved. Also, you aren't running any
type of eval. versions of XP or SBS, are you?
