We have two customers who since updating to Service Pack 4
(One on Win2k) (the other Win2k SBS)that are experiencing
approxmiately an hour delay after reboot of server before
the user account is authenticated and allowed to login to
server. This is the case on both sites - Windows 98 and
XP Pro Clients.

They can logon to a local account or bypass the login in
the case of Win98 and have full access to the network.

Any clues how to get the login time back to previous of
approximate 5 minutes after server services started.

Stuart,

Check the AD DNS domain name and are they running a "single label" domain?
This would refer to the DNS domain name being something such as "domain" and
not "domain.com." In SP4 the records are not updated in DNS if your running
a single label domain name. You can corrrect this by setting the registry
values per the following article.

Single-Label

Let us know if this helps.
