Client-only rules do not work

Hi

To run client-only rules created in Outlook 2003 I have to press
"Send/Receive" button.
They do not run automatically and immediately when new message arrives.
For example one of my rules looks like this:
"Apply this rule after the message arrives
from 'my friend'
and on this machine only
move it to the 'test' folder"
So as you can see it is very simple.
But when message from 'my friend' arrives it stays in 'Inbox' folder.
It is moved to 'test' folder only if I press 'Send/Receive' button.
How to solve this problem? It really annoying me!

I will assume from your use of quotation marks that you were being sarcastic.
These are Microsoft's official *community* newsgroups. Everyone answering
questions here is doing it on his or her own time. There are a lot of
reasons why a message may not be answered, but no matter what the reason, it
doesn't change the fact that we are all volunteers here and -- to be blunt --
you get what you pay for. If you need immediate assistance, you will need to
contact Microsoft Product Support Services directly.
