Client cannot connect to terminal server

Server setup:
Compaq DL380
Windows 2000 SP3
Citrix XP FR2

Client:
Windows 2000 SP3
TS Client
ICA 7 client

In the past the PC could connect, but he wanted to use his
local printers and drives. So we had him try the Citrix
client, but for whatever reason it never connected. In
between that and now the PC was rebuild (clean OS
install). Now the PC cannot connect to either Citrix or
Terminal services.

For licensing this is what I see in Terminal Services
License Manager:

Existing Windows 2000 Licenses
type built-in
issued 84
total unlimited
available unlimited

Windows 2000 Server - Terminal Services CAL (Per token)
type select
issued 9
total 25
available 16

What could be the hang up? The client basically times
out. Also, the Citrix client pulls up the screen, and
gets to the point where the login box should pop up, but
never does. It eventually times out too. A PC on the
same network with identical network settings can connect
just fine. Thanks.

Can the client ping to the server?
Is there anything in the EventLog on the server at the time the
client tries to connect?

Have a look at the info on EventID.Net:
http://www.eventid.net/display.asp?eventid=537&source=security

If that doesn't help, try to remove the PC from the domain, delete
the computer account from the DC and rejoin the domain.

You'll also want to look into Event 560. At least have a look at
*which* object is generating the access denied error, and check if
this is a problem or not.

Have you checked if user rights have anything to do with the
problem? I.e. if you log on with an account with local and domain
administrator rights and then start a TS session, do you have the
same problem?
