Client can not connect to TS

William Jones

I am having a very similar problem. It is affectiong only
one machine. The client can connect to servers running
admin mode terminal services but not to the application
mode servers. If we remove the MSLicensing Key it can
connect to an applicaiton mode server but only once.

If you find a resolution to this would you please let me
know.

Thanks,

If you can connect only once after removing the license from the
client, it means that the TS is not able to issue a TS CAL to the
client. This can have several reasons. The most common ones:

1. there is no free TS CAL available on the Licensing Server
2. there is no Licensing Server
3. the TS cannot locate the LS.
4. there is a black hole router between the client and the TS,
preventing the transfer of the TS CAL to the client

Check the EventLog on the TS to see what the exact problem is.
Feel free to repost with the exact EventIDs if you need more help.
